If one is eager to fully enjoy life, one should first tackle university exams and then, man…one will know freedom! But since, how the British like to say, most students don’t study until the wolf is at the door…let’s just say that most of us have been pretty busy lately. Enough with the small talk, the topic on today’s agenda is how every Jack has its Jill (in fashion of course). I’ve gathered some of the latest most fashionable couples seen lately on streetstyle blogs in order to provide you with some inspiration for your present or future apparitions as couples.
Read MoreSomewhere between going to the hairdresser’s salon and wanting to cut my bangs all by myself in the mirror, I’ve had a strange revelation about hair. Hair, my friend, it’s like an old relationship: it’s not what it used to be, it tends to get in your eye in the most inappropriate situations but it still takes a bucket of courage to cut it off. With summer just around the corner, we all find ourselves wanting (spell n-e-e-d-i-n-g) a change of wardrobe, look, hair, and why not…a change of life. If the first three can at least be easily obtained with just opening our wallets, the latter requires more courage and imagination. Everyone says that spring is the time for change, nature coming back to life bla bla bla! I say summer is the time for reflection. Don’t rush into life changing decisions but rather take the time to enjoy what you already have, treasure the loved ones in your life and only after decide if it’s anything wrong with your existence. I just sounded as a lady that presents the horoscope. You might as well realize that everything is good just the way it is. Even your hair. And please…if you’re gonna dye it pink, at least be sure it washes out until fall.
Read MoreWith little time to think and write about fashion these days, I found myself in front of an empty Word document waiting to spill my ideas and thoughts. And while thinking and revising my inspirational photo folder I noticed something. There is an avalanche of random and less random people photographed for their amazing style, and they’re not exactly very young. Most of the marvellously dressed men can be found on the streets of Florence and the women, where else?! if not in Paris.

Of course, we all admire the Paris fashion-week outfits but if you’re in the mood to see people who don’t care about matching their Birkin with their Manolos, take a peek into this post. For those who, when hearing the word festival think about a bunch of metal-lovers with greasy hair (no offense to metal lovers!) shoving each other…well I’m not talking about that type of festival. I’m talking about Coachella Festival in California, where the most popular names in electronic, hip hop, indie and rock music line up every year and where fashionistas like Alexa Chung, Sienna Miller or Kate Moss are spotted wearing the coolest outfits. Or about Bonnaroo music&arts festival in Manchester, Tenneessee where participants are advised that the festival is closer to Survivorman rather than your favorite resort. Or maybe about Pitchfork music festival in Paris, one of the most appreciated indie-rock festivals in the world. And if these names still don’t ring a bell for you, think about Woodstock, or better…ask your parents about Woodstock.
Read MoreIn an industry dominated by consumerism, in which fashion moves at such a fast pace that trends don’t even last for a whole year isn’t it difficult to be creative without spending fortunes on clothing monthly? In a discussion with a friend, she pointed out something that I’m sure you’ve also remarked. Fashion bloggers must be spending tons of money on clothes they wear probably just once, and a lot of time in the stores I assume.. Nowadays, if you don’t have clothes from the latest collections, may those be only H&M but still, it is unlikely to be successful in the blogging business. Have bloggers turned into walking commercials for expensive and non-expensive brands according to the audience’s budget? How many times have you been persuaded into buying a piece after seeing it on a fashion blogger? I’m telling you, today blogging is the new advertising!
